The first volume of the Spinal Tap Omnibus (STO) is focused on the film "This Is Spinal Tap."

The disc includes:

- The video from the MGM Special Edition release with burned in subtitles used for introductions and locations. (The MGM SE used soft subs.)
- The remastered 5.1 audio stream from the MGM SE.
- The MGM SE commentary track from Derek Smalls, David St. Hubbins, and Nigel Tufnel.
- The Criterion Edition commentary track from Christopher Guest, Micheal McKean, and Harry Shearer.
- The Criterion Edition commentary track from Director Rob Reiner, Producer Karen Murphy, and the editors.

The disc is a single layer release and includes DVD_ROM content.
